From memory the chap about to bowl was Charles Francis Controller of Stores and the year was around 1926 - the photograph is reproduced in one of the issues of the Canberra Community News. This was at the opening of the Bowling Club - the bowling green today is part of the car park on the northern side of the Hotel Canberra. Ann Gugler
